Bayern Munich have ruled out signing new players in the winter transfer window, but that doesn’t stop the Bavarian club from getting linked with players. Ahead of the mid-season transfer window, Bayern will be linked with several players by the media.

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been linked with Bayern this season. The 23-year-old winger has endured a difficult spell at Chelsea since joining the club two years ago. He was one of the highly rated forwards in Europe after impressing for Shakhtar Donetsk.

Bayern were heavily linked with Die Roten even before he joined Chelsea. Considering Bayern were playing against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday, Max Eberl was quizzed about Mudryk. While talking to Bild, Eberl acknowledged the quality of Mudryk but ruled out a transfer in the near future.

"He's an outstanding player. He has a contract at Chelsea until 2031 and cost a lot of money. We are of course monitoring the market, of course Mudryk is an outstanding player. But at the moment it's just a rumor."- Max Eberl,

While a move to Bayern is looking unlikely for Mudryk, he may have to consider other options in the summer since he is not a first-choice option in the attack at Chelsea. The 23-year-old has struggled to find rhythm at Stamford Bridge, and a move away from London in the summer could help him kickstart his career.

Bayern Munich have big plans to strengthen attack in the summer

Die Roten may not sign Mudryk, but they are interested in strengthening the attack in the summer. The Bavarian club has identified Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz at the end of the season. The German attacking midfielder is expected to be one of the most wanted players in the transfer market. Real Madrid and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Wirtz.

Apart from Wirtz, Bayern are also interested in signing Jonathan David from Lille. The Canadian forward will be out of contract in the summer. David can play on the flanks and deputize for Harry Kane in the number nine position.

The potential arrival of two new attacking players may lead to a couple of departures. Leroy Sane is facing an uncertain future in Munich. Die Roten have not offered a new deal as he enters the final six months of his contract. Along with Sane, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are also candidates for sale in the summer. Coman came close to leaving Bayern last summer, while Gnabry was subject to interest from Newcastle United. Both players ended up staying in Munich, but the Bavarian club remains open to listening to offers for them.

Mathys Tel is also likely to go out on loan in the summer as he is struggling for game time under Vincent Kompany. There could be significant upheaval in Bayern’s attack in the summer.
