Italian sources have confirmed a meeting between John Elkann and Juventus directors, but it’s reported to be a summit that had been on the agenda for a long time.
Corriere dello Sport reported on Thursday morning that Juventus owner Elkann would meet club directors Cristiano Giuntoli (Chief Football Officer) and Maurizio Scanavino (CEO) on Friday to discuss the next steps in the short and long-term future.
Romeo Agresti’s Ilbianconero.com confirms that the meeting between the two parties will take place tomorrow but adds that it had been on the agenda for a long time.

The team’s poor results are obviously concerning, especially because the Bianconeri slipped to fifth place after the latest Serie A round.
According to Ilbianconero.com, however, Elkann and Juventus directors will discuss the possible scenarios and the possible action to be taken, but they are not expected to make any short-term decision regarding coach Thiago Motta, who is expected to remain in charge for the next match against Genoa.
A Champions League qualification is an essential target for the club, in sporting and financial terms, as missing out on revenues from Europe’s elite competition could force the Bianconeri to sell some of its best players.
