The draw for the Under-20 World Cup finals, which will be held in Argentina, took place in Zurich on Friday. France were handed a relatively easy group, being top seeded in the tournament – as reported by RMC Sport.

The French team now knows who they will face in the tournament, which will take place from May 20 to June 11 in Argentina. After the draw, which took place on Friday afternoon, Landry Chauvin’s players can be optimistic.

Elye Wahi and his teammates will face South Korea, the 2019 finalist, Gambia, and Honduras in Group F. This is a favorable draw for France, which was crowned champion in 2013 under the leadership of future World Cup winners Paul Pogba, Florian Thauvin, Alphonse Areola, and Samuel Umtiti.

Italy was drawn into the “Group of Death” with Brazil, Nigeria, and the Dominican Republic. As the host country, Argentina should be able to get through their group, which includes Uzbekistan, Guatemala, and New Zealand. Ukraine, the defending champion, will not participate in this edition of the tournament.
