Fulham have been relegated back to the Championship after just a single season back in the Premier League and they are reportedly beginning to cut ties.
According to the Daily Mail, Fulham will return loanee André Schürrle back to Dortmund a year early after a rather unimpressive spell at the club.
From a monetary standpoint, the move will save Fulham an estimated €3m in wages as they will assuredly look to considerably lower their wage bill.
According to multiple sources, Fulham had a clause in Schürrle’s contract that allows them to return the player in the event of relegation.
The 57-time German international has scored six goals and failed to contribute a single assist in 25 games in all competitions this season.
