Fulham are looking to hire a set-piece coach for the new season.
The Whites scored the fewest goals (four) from set-pieces in the Premier League last season and want to appoint a specialist set-piece coach for the first time under Marco Silva.
Fulham are looking to build on last season's 11th-placed finish and have identified offensive and defensive set-pieces as an area to improve.
First-team coach Stuart Gray had previously handled set-piece responsibilities before his retirement at the end of last season.
A job advert on their website says Fulham are looking for a UEFA A Licence holder to be “a key part of the first-team coaching team”.
The advert says the club want someone who is “an expert on set-pieces, possess high levels of tactical and technical knowledge and will be able to demonstrate proven success in previous roles in organising offensive and defensive set-pieces, analysing opposition set-piece strategies and adding value to the team’s performance and results”.
Should they formalise an appointment, Fulham will become the latest club to hire a set-piece coach, following clubs like London rivals Brentford and Arsenal.
Fulham, who finished 11 points off the European places, know that being able to both defend and attack set-pieces effectively could be key to bridging the gap to Europe next season.
