Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has reportedly vowed never to play for the club again after being priced out of a move to Al-Hilal, claims Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old has been subject to two bids from the Saudi Arabian club, but Fulham have shown no desire to negotiate a fair price to part ways with their star striker.

Al-Hilal’s two bids were worth £25 million and £35m. But the Cottagers have reportedly quoted a stunning £52m to release Mitrovic – a figure deemed too high even for the free-spending Saudi club.

The Serbia international striker is reportedly furious and was considering skipping the pre-season tour of the United States.

His agent Pini Zahavi and representatives from the professional footballer’s association had to intervene and convince Mitrovic to join Marco Silva’s squad.

However, the striker remains adamant he will not feature for the club anymore.

Mitrovic was instrumental to Fulham’s success last season as the Cottagers defied the odds to retain their Premier League status by securing a top-half finish.

The former Newcastle United centre-forward rippled the net 14 times in 24 league appearances, picking up where he left off in the previous campaign, where he fired Fulham to promotion with 43 goals.

It appears Mitrovic was itching to join the rapidly growing number of Europe-based players that have moved to the Middle East this summer.

His agent has urged Fulham chief Tony Khan to lower his demands to somewhere between £35-45m.

Mitrovic has three years left on his existing contract and has been Fulham’s best player since he arrived in 2018, so they are trying to ward off interest in the Serbian marksman.

Fulham travel to Goodison Park to face Everton in their Premier League curtain raiser on August 12, and it remains to be seen if Mitrovic will be willing to feature if he is not sold before then.
