Fulham could end up moving for Norwich City’s Max Aarons, Luton Town’s James Bree and/or Millwall’s Danny McNamara if they fail to get a deal over the line for Arsenal’s Cedric Soares, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Gunners are reportedly keen to cash in on the former Southampton man with Mikel Arteta already having the likes of Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu at his disposal in the English capital.

The Cottagers are looking to capitalise on the Gunners’ stance on Cedric – but they could potentially be forced out of the race for the 31-year-old with Marco Silva’s side yet to agree personal terms with the player.

Norwich’s Aarons, who has , is believed to be one player under consideration at Craven Cottage but other players are also on their shortlist.

with the Cottagers potentially looking to dip into the EFL market to address a key position.

The Verdict:

Aarons may be the best option at this point considering he already has a decent amount of experience in the Premier League – and is also at a decent age with the player only just turning 23.

With this, he could be an excellent addition for the long term and will only improve, so he would be a worthwhile addition if they have the funds to get an agreement over the line.

Bree and McNamara are reasonably young too and could potentially be sold on for a decent amount in the future, though the Cottagers may prefer someone who has more top-tier games under their belt.

And this is why it comes as no surprise that they’re targeting someone like Cedric. He may not have played too much this season and may take a bit of time to regain his sharpness – but his class should still remain.

He’s been training with top-quality players again this season and with high standards being set at the Emirates as the Gunners look to secure the top-flight title, he should be able to come in and make a difference in West London.
