Fulham have submitted a second bid for midfield target Scott McTominay as they look to convince Manchester United to part ways with their academy graduate.
Marco Silva's side have already seen one offer turned down for the midfielder, who started 18 times for the Red Devils in the top flight last season.
Now, the Athletic report that they have returned with a second bid of ÂŁ20m in a bid to land their long-term target.
For their part, United are understood to be holding out for closer to ÂŁ25m, though McTominay himself is believed to be open to the move.
Earlier in the summer, Erik ten Hag admitted he would like to keep the Scot, though there is an acceptance that sales may have to happen to allow further signings.
âWe want to actually keep him because heâs a very important player for our squad,â Ten Hag said. âWeâve seen what he can contribute last season. When we had the sixes and he could play in a more advanced role, heâs a highly interesting player for our team.â
