Romain Faivre (23) endured a difficult time at Olympique Lyonnais having joined from Stade Brestois in January 2022, but the Frenchman has relaunched his career at FC Lorient since joining on loan in January, and his form hasn’t gone unnoticed. According to Foot Mercato, Bournemouth and Fulham have both begun discussions with the player’s entourage.
Les Merlus have been one of Ligue 1’s surprise packages this season, and in recent weeks, Faivre has become a key component of Régis Le Bris’ side. The former AS Monaco man has three goals and three assists in 15 games for Lorient, including two goals and two assists in his last four Ligue 1 matches.
However, his loan at the Breton club expires at the end of the season, and Faivre’s long-term future remains in doubt. Bournemouth, who now own 40% of Lorient have opened discussions with the player’s entourage. The Cherries would like to buy Faivre before potentially loaning him back out to Les Merlus for another year.
Fulham are also interested in the France U21 international, whilst Faivre himself is open to a move to the Premier League. However, he won’t come cheap. Lyon are looking to recoup the €15m that they spent on him just 18 months ago.
