FROM CRAVEN COTTAGE - Two late Chelsea goals saw the Blues snatch a dramatic 2-1 derby victory at the home of their loathed neighbours Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
The thick stench of sulphur from the pre-match pyrotechnics was still in the air by the time Andreas Pereira bundled a bungled effort beyond Robert Sanchez. As the assistant referee rapidly spotted, Ryan Sessegnon had strayed offside in the build-up, but the Fulham academy graduate would get his assist not long after.
Scurrying around on Reece James' blindside, Sessegnon emerged with the ball and left the Chelsea skipper in a crumpled heap on the turf, fizzing a low pass across the edge of the box for Alex Iwobi to control and fire into the far corner.
Unimpressed with a tepid first-half display, Enzo Maresca made two half-time alterations yet failed to immediately shift the momentum. It wasn't until Fulham began to tire in the final 15 minutes that the Blues finally found their equaliser through their third substitute of the afternoon, Tyrique George.
The teenager's crisp swat from the top of the box in the 84th minute was followed up by an even more impressive thump from Pedro Neto in stoppage time. Sunday's dramatic turnaround lifted Chelsea back into the top five while denting Fulham's faint ambitions of European qualification.
