Adelaide United forward, Ben Halloran, spoke of the Reds’ frustrations and sadness after the 3-3 draw with Melbourne City on Sunday afternoon.

With frustration setting in after United gave up a two-goal advantage to door two points, the remnants of sadness floated throughout the entire team as a result of Juande’s serious leg injury.

The match was halted for approximately 30 minutes while the Spaniard was forced to wait for an ambulance while prone on the turf.

Halloran was relatively upbeat considering the performance, but lamented the final result when speaking with Paramount+’s Michael Zappone post-game.

Halloran said:“It was pretty frustrating in the end.

“We fought really hard at the end of the game, but if you give a team like City a chance (like we did), they’re going to score.

“Like I said, it was frustrating, but we performed quite well and (City) are the benchmark in the league at the moment.

“This performance was good for the boys’ confidence, despite not leaving with three points.

“The team was in shock (when seeing Juande go down with such a serious injury).

“Juande is our teammate and we’re all very close with him.

“We just hope he’s okay and makes a full recovery.”
