Dele Alli is ready to demand a transfer from Tottenham.

The Mirror says Alli is being pushed towards the exit door after being dumped from the Tottenham squad.

Tottenham midfielder Dele, 25, has been a target for Newcastle in this window and Spurs could be open to offers either on loan or on a permanent basis.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte signalled his intentions by axing Alli from his match day squad to face Chelsea even though he has been hit by injuries and had to name an unfamiliar line-up.

That must be seen as a clear indication that Conte wants to clear the decks to try and bring in new faces in January.

Alli has only made ten Premier League appearances this season and, despite starting the season under former boss Nuno Espirito Santo, has gradually fallen down the pecking order.

England star Alli is out of contract until 2024.
