Inter Milan are exploring various commercial partnership opportunities whilst in Japan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang is holding several meetings including with representatives of Konami and Moncler whilst the team are on their preseason tour.

At the moment, Inter are in Japan.

The team are in the midst of their preseason tour. Whilst in the country, they have already faced Al-Nassr in a friendly match. Another friendly against Paris Saint-Germain is also on the way.

There are numerous reasons for Inter’s preseason tour.

The Nerazzurri are taking the friendlies as an opportunities to gain fitness and test themselves for the upcoming season.

And furthermore, the club’s first tour of Japan since 2004 has important commercial ramifications. The Nerazzurri have a sizable fanbase in the country.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are engaged in important fan outreach in Japan.

The Gazzetta note that Inter will earn around €2.5 million from their tour. But that may not be all in the greater scheme of things.

Inter Milan President Steven Zhang Explores Commercial Opportunities In Japan

The Gazzetta report that whilst in Japan, Inter President Zhang has been pursuing several commercial opportunities.

One thing Zhang has already done has been liaising with representative of fashion brand Laox.

That company is owned by Nerazzurri parent company Suning, with Zhang himself taking a prominent role. He has met with Japanese representatives of the company to discuss coordination and commercial opportunities.

And in the next few days, Zhang has more meetings of this nature on the docket.

One will be with representatives of Italian fashion brand Moncler.

The Nerazzurri already have a partnership with Moncler, and are aiming to exploit it further.

Additionally, the Gazzetta report, Zhang will meet with representatives of Japanese video game and entertainment company Konami.
