Manchester City bosses have come to the decision that Kayky’s future at the Etihad Stadium is best suited away from the club through a loan deal in Europe.

The future of the 21-year-old has somewhat stagnated in recent months with the winger sustaining a horror anterior cruciate ligament injury whilst on loan at Bahia that required surgery and subsequently a lengthy lay-off and recovery process.

The former Fluminense prospect first signed for Manchester City in the summer of 2021 for a reported transfer fee of €10 million, with another €15 million in variables, with the transfer set to go through in the following January market of 2022.

A change of plan concerning the player’s development then saw Kayky join immediately during the August month of the 2021 market, while his former club Fluminense retained a percentage of any future sale and add-ons.

Kayky’s time at Manchester City has been largely inconsistent with an initial loan move to Pacos de Ferreira following his senior debut under Pep Guardiola in the FA Cup and Premier League, before joining Bahia for the most-recent campaign.

Now, as confirmed by transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League champions Manchester City will let Brazilian talent Kayky leave on loan for the course of the upcoming season.

It is revealed that the player will join either of Eredivisie side Sparta Rotterdam or Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk, with the duo being the two most-interested clubs in the race for Kayky with ‘different projects’ available to the player.

Kayky has recently been in Manchester over the last few days attending the City Football Academy as part of his rehabilitation period from injury, but also to discuss his future prospects away from the Etihad Stadium.

The youthful forward also dined with Manchester City’s newest Brazilian recruit in Savinho, as the pair, their family, and representatives dined at an exclusive city centre restaurant on the evening the 20-year-old penned his five-year agreement.

Kayky is currently contracted to Manchester City until the summer of 2026, thus retaining his transfer value, with some reporting that the Premier League champions have stamped a €10 million valuation on the forward should any club pursue a permanent agreement.
