Inter Milan could sell forward Joaquin Correa even after the Serie A transfer window closes.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They note that the Belgian and Turkish league windows will still be open – not to mention the Saudi Pro League.

Correa’s future still remains something of a mystery.

Inter have seemingly been trying to offload the former Lazio and Sevilla forward all summer long.

The 30-year-old has been back at Inter since the end of his disastrous loan spell at Marseille.

And Correa, whose contract expires at the end of next June, doesn’t exactly have a big place in the first team plans.

But as of yet, Inter have not managed to find a new club for the Argentine.

That has raised the possibility that the Nerazzurri could even keep Correa around. At least until the January transfer window.

There is no chance of Correa being in Inter’s Champions League squad.

But by all accounts Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi would like to keep the 30-year-old. The additional depth in attack would be welcome for the gruelling season ahead.

Belgium, Turkey & Saudi Arabia Possible Last-Minute Exits For Joaquin Correa

Correa has had some transfer interest this summer.

Genoa have been at the centre of the most prominent recent reports. Correa has also been offered to Roma.

There has in fact been some tentative interest all summer.

River Plate are keen on bringing the 29-year-old back to his home country Argentina.

Then, two of Correa’s former clubs have sounded out a surprise return in the form of Lazio and Sevilla.

And recent rumours have also linked the out-of-favour Inter forward with Monza and Real Betis.

Then, there are also AEK Athens pushing to sign Correa this summer.

But at no point has a serious offer for the Argentine materialized.

And there are now just a few days left to go before the transfer window in Italy and in most of Europe slams shut.

If Inter do not sell Correa soon, they could be stuck with him. Or so it would seem.

But as Tuttosport note, all hope would not be lost as far as finding a solution for Correa’s future.

Thus far, the Argentine has seemed reluctant to consider transfers outside of teams in top European leagues.

But the stark reality of being a fringe player at Inter could convince him to consider other options.

As Tuttosport note, the Belgian top flight’s transfer window is open until September 6th.

And in the case of Turkey, the window goes all the way until the 13th of next month.

Lastly, the Saudi Pro League – which has shown no reluctance to spend big on unwanted players from European clubs – has a transfer window that’s open until October 6th.

There has been interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. As there has been from the Saudi Pro League.

Therefore, Tuttosport suggest, even if the end of the Serie A transfer window comes and goes with Correa staying at Inter, he could still leave in the coming weeks.
