Manchester City youngster Micah Hamilton is making the most of his senior debut for the Champions League holders.
Hamilton showed everybody why he has been one of City’s most highly touted academy products in recent seasons, showing off his tricky feet before lashing a shot into the roof of the net against Red Star Belgrade Wednesday.
The 20-year-old has had a sensational rise to prominence at the club, finding himself in the starting eleven for Pep Guardiola in Serbia. Just six years ago, he was a ball boy for the club!
He will surely have taken some inspiration from teammate Phil Foden, who also rose from club mascot to first-team star during the Guardiola era.
Hamilton was only in the team due the dead-rubber nature of the clash in Belgrade, but he has made the most of his opportunity.
He is the now fifth-youngest Englishman to score on his Champions League debut (20 years, 30 days) and the youngest since Marcus Rashford (19 years, 316 days in 2017).
Even better for the Manchester City faithful, another academy graduate, Oscar Bobb, popped up with his first senior goal in the second half.
A day to remember for the City youngsters!
