Manchester City vs Chelsea

The game of the weekend surely comes from the Etihad where Manchester City can cap the greatest week in the club’s history with a seventh top-flight title.

They’ll have to do it the hard way though, and beat a Chelsea side that are totally rejuvenated under coach Thomas Tuchel.

Just one Premier League defeat since the German’s arrival has turned the Blues into a real force again and they’ll enjoy nothing better than upsetting Pep Guardiola’s title ambitions.

But having come off the back of their Champions League semi-final success, who would bet against City capping things off with yet another trophy.

📊 Fun fact: Chelsea have lost none of their last 10 matches away from home in the Premier League.

🔮 Our prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Chelsea

Potential upset 😨

Aston Villa vs Manchester United

Manchester United have been exceptional away from home all season long but if one side are going to end their victories on the road, we’re backing it to be Aston Villa.

Dean Smith’s men have been one of the more pleasant surprises in the Premier League this time around, evolving from being just the Jack Grealish Team, to seeing the likes of Ollie Watkins and Douglas Luiz thrive.

Last weekend’s win over Everton was the perfect example as Watkins and Anwar El Ghazi netted two excellent goals as the Midlands giants climbed above Leeds and into the top half of the table.

📊 Fun fact: In the last five meetings between these two sides, United have won three times and Villa just once.

🔮 Our prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Manchester United

Big Favourites 👍

Liverpool vs Southampton

It’s been quite a while since we put Liverpool in the ‘Big Favourites’ category in this column, but that is as good a microcosm as any for the season that they’ve had.

The Reds title defence hasn’t exactly gone to plan but their slide down the table this season – to the point where going into this weekend they are in seventh position – is truly one of the biggest shocks anywhere in Europe.

A victory here against Southampton is a must, and although Anfield has failed to be the fortress it once was, the south coast club have been disappointing away from home all campaign, winning just four of their 17 matches so far.

Jürgen Klopp’s men should do the business here.

📊 Fun fact: Liverpool have only lost one of their last six matches with Southampton

🔮 Our prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Southampton

Too close to call 🤔

Leeds vs Tottenham

Article image:⛅️ Friday Forecast: Title decider, top four tussle, Michail magic

This looks like a fascinating encounter at Elland Road with Tottenham’s top four ambitions having gone up a notch following their impressive 4-0 win against Sheffield United last time out.

Spurs are now five points behind Cheslea but must go to Yorkshire aiming for nothing but three points.

With Ryan Mason having taken off their shackles and a renewed zip having taken over the side, this has all the hallmarks of some real Saturday lunchtime entertainment.

📊 Fun fact: Tottenham have scored at least two goals in five of their last six Premier League games.

🔮 Our prediction: Leeds 2-2 Tottenham

🔥 Your Fantasy Football captain should be …

Michail Antonio

West Ham host Everton on Sunday knowing that should Chelsea slip up against Manchester City then they could level on points with their London rivals.

The Hammers brilliant fight for a top four finish has been down to the collective effort, but if there’s one individual who has truly excelled this term it’s been Michail Antonio.

Antonio’s been on the best goalscoring form of his career and could go into double figure with a goal against the Toffees this weekend.

After watching Everton get carved open by Villa last time out, we’re expecting goals in this one.
