The Reds have been linked with a host of attacking players in recent weeks as the recruitment team look to help the manager build a squad that is capable of winning promotion after their fine form in recent months.
And, Bowler is someone on Forest’s radar but reporter Will Unwin revealed on Twitter that there is little chance of that deal happening ‘at the moment’.
They have already had two bids rejected for the 22-year-old, who has scored once in the league this season, with a third offer believed to have been tabled last week as well.
Of course, things can change quickly in the market and a lot may depend on whether the East Midlands outfit can keep hold of Brennan Johnson.
The forward, who scored the winner in the weekend victory over Derby County, has been attracting plenty of Premier League interest and with only 18 months left on his contract at the City Ground, there is a possibility that Forest could be forced to cash in on the talent this month if a suitable offer arrives.

The verdict
This will be frustrating for Forest because Bowler is clearly a player that Cooper rates and there’s no doubt that he would be a smart long-term addition for the team.
But, the January window is notoriously difficult to do deals and you can understand why Blackpool want to keep hold of someone who has played regularly for them this season.
So, it will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether Johnson’s future could determine if Forest go in with another offer.
