Rangers have agreed personal terms with Morgan Whittaker as they look to sign the Swansea City attacker before the January deadline.
It’s no secret that the Glasgow outfit have been keen to bring the 22-year-old in this month, with the Welsh side having already rejected multiple bids for the player.
However, they remain in talks and Football Insider have claimed that Whittaker has already come to an agreement with Rangers regarding personal terms, meaning it’s now down to the clubs to agree a fee before the move is finalised.
The latest offer was believed to be in the region of £2m but the update states that Swansea are still not happy with that, as they seek an improved offer in the coming days.
Whittaker spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Plymouth and he was brilliant in League One, scoring nine goals and registering seven assists to help the team to top of the table before he was recalled.
The former Derby County man is yet to feature for the Swans since he was brought back to the club.

The verdict
It does feel as though it’s a matter of time before this move happens as Whittaker is clearly keen on joining Rangers and they’re still trying to get the deal done.
But, Swansea are right to stand firm as the previous offers have not been great for a young player who has the potential to improve.
So, this is one that could drag on for the next few days and it will be about getting the best fee possible for Russell Martin, who will know he needs to strengthen his squad before the deadline as well.
