France are set to meet Robert Lewandowski-led Poland side on Sunday, in the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

With star player Karim Benzema ruled out of the tournament, the French team are banking on the services of their remaining forwards to deliver the goods. One of their main forwards is Randal Kolo Muani, who has recently heaped praise on Lewandowski heading into this contest.

“Robert Lewandowski is an inspiration, he is one of the best strikers in the world and he scores a lot of goals. He is a player who feels comfortable with the ball at his feet despite his great height. I will have to watch him closely,” he said in a presser (h/t RMC Sport).

Kolo Muani, who started for the French team that were stunned by Tunisia in the final group, currently plies his trade with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The former Nantes star has emerged as one of the best signings of the new season in the Bundesliga, having racked up eight goals and 11 assists in all competitions since joining Eintracht in the summer.

Despite his success, though, the Frenchman is well aware of the quality the opposition possess, with Lewandowski, in particular, marked as a threat.

In an unrelated quote, Kolo Muani offered an interesting anecdote about Ousmane Dembele, revealing that the Barcelona forward is scared of cats. “We see cats wandering outside when we eat out. Ousmane is afraid, which makes everyone laugh a little,” he said.
