Kylian Mbappé will be hearing plenty of takes regarding what the 25-year-old should do with his future. The 25-year-old will become a free agent next June but can sign a pre-contract in a few days.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has been relatively silent about his future since the summer transfer window closed. Once again, everyone eagerly awaits the French star’s decision.

As soon as Jan. 1 arrives, Real Madrid is all set to offer their proposal. However, they will also develop a reported Jan. 15 deadline for the player to accept their offer.

When reporters questioned French President Emmanuel Macron about the future of Paris Saint-Germain’s winger, he provided his perspective on the subject. Nonetheless, like any politician, his answer was a political one.

“Mbappé is a great footballer,” Macron told France 5 (h/t Le10Sport). “Am I going to talk to him about his future? I’m not his agent. First of all, I’d like to wish him a happy birthday. He’s a great sportsman; he’s taken over the captaincy of the French national team, and he’s the driving force behind the team. And in 2024, we have a Euro that I hope we’ll win.”

As for the Ligue 1 side, PSG is moving behind the scenes. Paris has evaluated two project scenarios – one involving Mbappé and the other excluding him. So the ball is in his court to see if he wants to continue with the Ligue 1 side.
