The French Minister of the Interior of France has blamed Liverpool fans for the stadium issues at the Champions League final.
Gerald Darmanin blamed the events on fans with fake tickets and claimed fans attacked stewards.
He also thanked police for mobilising.
His statement translated reads: "Thousands of British 'supporters', without tickets or with counterfeit tickets, forced entry and sometimes assaulted the stewards.
"Thank you to the very many police forces mobilised this evening in this difficult context."
