Inter-owned midfielder Lucien Agoume has been in good form on loan with Brest in Ligue 1, and he was one of the standout players for the Brittany-based club in their 2-0 defeat of Lille yesterday.

This is highlighted by French news outlet MozoFootball, who noted in a tweet that the 19-year-old was one of the most involved players on the pitch in the impressive win over the French champions.

Agoume joined Brest on loan in search of more regular playing time to develop within the senior game, having not managed to cement a regular starting spot for himself on loan at Spezia last season.

The Frenchman has found minutes easier to come by this time around, and he has already started to flourish, playing some of the most effective football of his career with Brest.

Inter fans will be excited to hear about the young midfielder’s mature display against top opposition in the form of Lille, who won Ligue 1 last season and are in this season’s Champions League round of sixteen.

MozoFootball’s tweet reads, “Lucien Agoumé had more touches (72), made more interceptions (6) and made more clearances (5) than any other player against Lille OSC. He’s only 19-years old.”
