Udinese are all set to sign free agent Oumar Solet, as the former RB Salzburg defender was spotted in the stands for their Coppa Italia match.
The Friulani are taking on Salernitana in the Coppa Italia at the Bluenergy Stadium this evening.
Sky Sport Italia report that among the spectators were Solet and his family, having been invited to tour the facilities and see if they want to join the club.
The 24-year-old French defender shot to fame at Olympique Lyonnais and earned a move worth €4.5m to RB Salzburg in the summer of 2020.
The rapport broke down and his contract was terminated by mutual consent on September 14.
However, Sky Sport Italia also warn that as per the terms of that agreement, the player cannot sign for a new club until the January transfer window opens.
Udinese are hoping they have done enough to convince him that his career should continue in Serie A under coach Kosta Runjaic.
He had also been linked with Inter and Napoli in recent months.
