Ligue 1 relegation battlers Brest are set to welcome veteran striker Loïc Rémy to train with them according to L’Équipe, the 36-year-old having been without a club since his departure from Adana Demirspor last summer.

The former France international will reunite with manager Eric Roy, with whom he worked during his time at Nice, in order to keep his fitness up. Roy, who was named manager of the Bretons this month in his first coaching role in over a decade, has left the door open for the ex-Chelsea forward to potentially join the squad in the future, even if it may not be the priority for the time being. The manager is nevertheless grateful for an extra man in training, given the club’s recent injury woes.
