Some players do their hamstrings. Others do their knees. Some hurt their arms.

And then there is Aldershot Town’s James Rowe.

Rowe was trying to enjoy a bottle of Ribena when instead of doing just that he dropped it and the subsequent shards cut his foot, potentially ruling him out for the season.

“James is a long-term one and he’s nowhere near coming back at the moment,” the Aldershot assistant manager, and namesake, James Rowe told Surrey Live.

“It was a freak accident at home, unfortunately, I believe. It’s going to be months rather than weeks he’s out for.

“It’s hopefully not going to be [the rest of the season] but it is a serious one.”
