Eintracht Frankfurt have already kicked off some summer transfer business on Thursday with the signing of Willian Pacho.

The 21-year-old defender joins from Royal Antwerp FC until 2028 and will link up with the Bundesliga club in the summer.

“For us, this is an important transfer for the coming season. Willian is still young, but already has international experience. Above all, his speed and strength in duels characterise him,” said Sport director Markus Krösche.

“We are delighted that he has chosen Eintracht and we want to develop his great potential.”

Pacho has 39 appearances for Antwerp this season, registering one assist in that span.

He was also included in Ecuador’s 2022 World Cup squad but did not feature. However, he debuted on Tuesday in a friendly against Australia, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory.
