Franck Kessié joins Barcelona’s injury list | OneFootball

Franck Kessié has been ruled out of Barcelona’s match against Celta Vigo this coming Sunday, report Mundo Deportivo.

Last night Barcelona suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan in the third round of the Champions League group stages.

Franck Kessié became Els Culers’ latest casualty, after suffering an injury during the team’s post-match training session held on Wednesday at the Ciutat Esportiva de Sant Joan Despí.

The Ivorian midfielder has an elongation in the adductor muscle of the right thigh. It is yet to be determined how long Kessié is ruled out for, but he will definitely not make an appearance against Celta Vigo over the weekend. Centre-back Andreas Christensen will also miss the fixture due to a sprained ankle.

However, Barcelona supporters will be hoping that Frenkie de Jong will be fit to slot back into Barcelona’s midfield, who trained for the first time with the whole squad since the international break.
