With Nice’s search for a successor to interim manager Didier Digard now underway, Les Aiglons have drafted a shortlist featuring the likes of Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and former Chelsea coach Graham Potter.

De Zerbi, who was in talks with former sporting director Julien Fournier last summer before Lucien Favre’s return to the dugout, remains a target for the Ligue 1 side. However, as reported by L’Équipe, his impressive management of Brighton – taking the Seagulls to the brink of European football – complicates Nice’s chances of pulling the move off.

RMC Sport now report that another name on the list, Franck Haise, is also virtually unattainable – the Lens manager is set to take the Artois side into the Champions League next season. Lorient’s Régis Le Bris, as revealed by sources contacted by Get French Football News’ Luke Entwistle, is the preferred option for Sporting Director Florent Ghisolfi. For club owners INEOS, though, priority would be Graham Potter, as CEO Jim Ratcliffe would like to see a compatriot managing the club.

RMC also indicate that Lille’s Paulo Fonseca and Palmeiras’ Abel Ferreira are also among the potential candidates, and are seen as more realistic options.
