According to L’Équipe, a meeting on Friday took place ahead of the match between France and Israel set to be played in the French capital in November. The Stade de France has been considered a potential security threat for the match by the French authorities.
The National Division for the Fight Against Hooliganism (DLNH) believes that it would be easier to contain any potential security threat by playing the match at the stadium of Paris Saint-Germain rather than at the national stadium in Saint-Dénis. If the match was to be played at the Stade de France, it would not be expected to reach an 80,000 capacity but with a much-reduced capacity of 47,0000 at the Parc de Princes this could pose a potential problem.
Another issue to contend with is potential compensation for the owners of the Stade de France should the match be held elsewhere due to issues out of their control.
