Nantes teenager Nathan Zeze is reportedly pushing for a transfer to Inter Milan who must however improve their offer.
The Nerazzurri are searching the market for a new left-footed defender following Tajon Buchanan’s injury.
The Canadian’s absence will push back Carlos Augusto to his original role on the left wing, leaving Alessandro Bastoni without a clear understudy.
Several profiles have emerged as possible candidates over the past few weeks, but the club’s owners Oaktree Capital prefer to sign a young profile whose value can rise over time.
Therefore, Zeze apparently ticks all the boxes, as he happens to be a 19-year-old left-footed central defender.
According to Foot Mercato, the Nerazzurri have launched a new onslaught for the Nantes teenager.
The Italian champions reportedly offered 15 million euros for Zeze’s services. However, Nantes have turned down the offer, as they’re holding out for a transfer fee worth at least 20 million euros.
Nevertheless, the source believes that Inter are counting on the player’s desire to join them. The France U18 starlet believes this would be the ideal destination to help take this game to the next level.
Nevertheless, the source warns Inter of incoming competition from the English shores. The report expects Premier League clubs to enter the fray sooner rather than later.
The teenager is Nantes native of Ivorian origins. He joined his hometown club at a tender age and rose through the ranks.
He became a permanent member of the senior squad last season, making 13 appearances in Ligue 1.
Zeze’s contract with the French club is valid until June 2028 having signed an extension in March.
