Marcus Thuram is set to start in Sunday’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan despite an injury scare.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the only doubt for the Inter starting eleven is in the centre of defense.
The fitness of striker Marcus Thuram has been the subject of some worry in the last couple days.
The Frenchman started for Inter against Fiorentina on Monday evening. However, he had to come off as a substitute during the first half.
This was due to a knock that the 27-year-old took to his ankle.
Marcus Thuram has yet to make a full return to training. However, reports the Gazzetta, this is merely a precaution.
The newspaper anticipate that there is little question the Frenchman should be ready to start in attack alongisde Lautaro Martinez in the Derby d’Italia against Juventus this weekend.

Meanwhile, reports the Gazzetta, it will be the usual midfield trio for Inter.
Therefore, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella will all start.
On the flanks, meanwhile, Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries will start.
In defense, Francesco Acerbi could start against Juventus, keeping his place from Monday’s win over Fiorentina. Or, on the other hand, Stefan de Vrij could return to the lineup.
