France, Germany and Spain all extended their top-tier 100% records at the halfway stage of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying.

League A

Group 1 – Norway 0-0 Italy, Netherlands 1-0 Finland

Lineth Beerensteyn scored the only goal of the night in the group, as the Dutch defeated Finland to lead the table by two points from both Norway and Italy.

Group 2 – Czech Republic 1-2 Belgium, Denmark 0-2 Spain

Spain went three points clear with victory in Denmark, Jenni Hermoso and a Mariona Caldentey penalty coming before the half hour. Belgium got off the mark with a win away to Czech Republic, Tessa Wullaert and Tine De Caigny scoring early on.

France are five points ahead of both Sweden and England following their win at St James’ Park, where Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored the decider. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd got a couple in the Swedes’ success in Ireland.

Group 4 – Austria 1-1 Iceland, Germany 4-1 Poland

Germany had to come from behind against Poland to extend their winning start, Giulia Gwinn’s late brace that included a penalty making sure of the points. They are five points ahead of both Austria and Iceland following the visitors equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

League B

Group 1 – Türkiye 1-0 Azerbaijan, Switzerland 2-1 Hungary

Switzerland have now won all their three games to date. Alisha Lehmann’s opener was cancelled out by Dóra Zeller, who minutes later conceded a penalty which Ramona Bachmann put away. Türkiye moved onto six points, seeing off Azerbaijan with Ebru Topçu’s penalty just before the break.

Group 2 – Serbia 2-1 Slovakia, Scotland 4-1 Israel

Scotland took over at the top on goal-difference from Serbia after defeating Israel, as Claire Emslie scored twice, The Serbians had a more narrow win against Slovakia, who had got the opening goal.

Group 3 – Malta 0-1 Bosnia-Herzegovina, Portugal 4-0 N. Ireland

Portugal have still to concede and are on maximum points so far, Lucia Alves netting twice against Northern Ireland, who remain second as Bosnia-Herzegovina put their first points on the board with the only goal of the game two minutes from time in Malta.

Group 4 – Kosovo 0-1 Croatia, Wales 1-1 Ukraine

Wales now lead the group by just one point, a Kayleigh Barton penalty giving them a draw after gifting Ukraine an early goal. Croatia are second after making the breakthrough in Kosovo, whose Blerta Smaili received her second caution before half time.

League C

Group 1 – Cyprus 0-2 Georgia, Lithuania A/W Belarus

Belarus lead by five points, Lithuania having forfeited their home tie with them. Georgia moved into second place with two unanswered goals in Cyprus, despite a first-half dismissal for the visitors.

Group 2 – North Macedonia 1-1 Moldova, Slovenia 6-0 Latvia

Six-goal Slovenia had six different scorers and also top the table by five points, Moldova gained a first point away to North Macedonia.

Group 3 – Greece 2-2 Montenegro, Faroe Islands 4-0 Andorra

Montenegro maintained a lead on goal-difference over Greece with a stoppage-time leveller in their 2-2 away draw, Faroe Islands got going with four goals against Andorra.

Group 4 – Armenia 2-1 Kazakhstan, Romania 1-0 Bulgaria

Romania edged Bulgari with a goal 14 minutes from the end to keep up their perfect form with another clean sheet. Armenia climbed to second when defeating Kazakhstan.

Group 5 – Estonia 1-2 Albania

Albania’s winning goal in Estonia came during stoppage time, as they moved three points clear but Luxembourg have two games in hand in the three-team group.

Northern Ireland Women beaten 4-0 in Portugal
