So far this season, Thuram has scored against most of Inter’s biggest rivals in Serie A.

The Frenchman has found the back of the net against the likes of AC Milan, Roma, Napoli, Lazio, and Fiorentina.

But one team who Thuram had not scored against before yesterday was Juventus.

It did briefly seem as though the 26-year-old may have checked the Bianconeri off his list during the first half.

The ball was certainly in the back of the net, and Thuram had played a big role in it.

But subsequent replays had confirmed that the Nerazzurri striker had not actually gotten a touch on the ball.

Rather, it had been Bianconeri defender Federico Gatti who had bundled it over his own goalline.

The way that Thuram made the goal happened was emblematic of the kind of night that the former Borussia Monchengladbach striker had, in truth.

The 26-year-old may not have had his most clinical game in the penalty area.

But that didn’t stop Thuram from throwing everything at the Juventus defenders.

The Bianconeri defense will have been well aware of the threat that Thuram poses. The France international’s pace, acceleration, and dribbling kept the Bianconeri back three on edge all match long.

That ended up being decisive, even if Thuram did not get a goal to his name.

The 26-year-old’s wait for a goal against Juventus goes on. But the wait for a win in the Derby d’Italia against the Biancioneri has come to an end for him.
