France’s group for the women’s EURO 2025 has been announced and will see Les Bleues take on World Cup finalists and current holders England in a difficult qualifying group.

France, Nations League finalists, have been dropped into a tough group as they attempt to navigate their way into automatic qualification for next summer’s competition, against a series of tricky opposition in the shape of England, Sweden, and the Republic of Ireland.

All four teams qualified for last summer’s World Cup and there looks to be no simple game on offer for any of the sides, even though this current England side remains probably the strongest team in the group.

Only the top two of the groups qualify while the remaining teams enter the playoffs; a forgiving enough system that means that whilst the group will be a difficult process to qualify from, it isn’t quite the group of death that it would first appear to be.
