It is Digne’s first call up since June 2022, and comes off the back of strong form for Aston Villa both at the start of this season and all of last season.

He has started all three games for Unai Emery’s side this season.

The 31-year-old will be looking to add to his 46 caps when Les Bleus face off against two of their biggest European rivals in the coming weeks.
