France national team head coach Didier Deschamps has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal.
This comes as the tactician prepares to set his side up against the brilliance of the up-and-coming winger.
France are primed to return to action in a couple of weeks’ time, when Les Bleus lock horns with Spain in a highly-anticipated Nations League semi-final showdown.
The aforementioned Lamine, for his part, will be expected to feature from the off for the latter, from his customary berth on the right flank.
The 17-year-old is of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular individual campaign on the books of Barcelona, with 18 goals and 25 assists to his name to date.
And one individual who appears to be fully aware of the brilliance possessed in Lamine’s twinkling feet is the aforementioned Didier Deschamps.
Speaking to the media after naming his squad to face Spain on Wednesday, France’s headmaster explained:
“Lamine? I haven’t seen a team that has found a solution to stop him. He has the ability to go past you. With these players, we must ensure that their influence is limited.”
