Marcus Thuram and Marko Arnautovic will lead the line for Inter Milan from the start in this evening’s Serie A match against Lecce.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The Gazzetta also anticipate that Yann Bisseck is favourite to start, and Nicolo Barella will wear the captain’s armbamd.

Inter will be without their captain Lautaro Martinez for this evening’s match.

The Argentine picked up a muscle strain during the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia loss to Bologna during the week.

Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have to figure out how to cope without Martinez in attack.

There would be a couple possibilities. Alexis Sanchez is back fit and ready to play his part, whilst there could also be the option of repurposing a midfielder or other player in attack.

But according to the Gazzetta, Inzaghi knows what he’ll do.

Marcus Thuram & Marko Arnautovic To Start For Inter Vs Lecce

The Gazzetta report that the same strike pair that started for Inter against Bologna on Wednesday will once again lead the line from the first minute this evening.

Arnautovic had played alongside Martinez from the start in the Coppa Italia.

And the former West Ham United and Stoke City veteran will once again be called into action.

But playing alongside the Austrian, Thuram will take the place of the injured Martinez.

Meanwhile, Martinez’s absence also means that Inter will be without their captain against Lecce.

Therefore, the Gazzetta predict, it will be 26-year-old Italian international midfielder Barella wearing the armband this evening.

The former Cagliari man will be in the starting eleven.

And in defense, the Gazzetta report, Bisseck should keep his place. Benjamin Pavard is back fit, but the German is still favourite over the Frenchman to start in this evening’s Serie A match.
