After picking up all three points against West Ham on Saturday, the Bees now have three successive wins on the road for the first time in their Premier League history.
Kevin Schade’s (£5.1m) fourth-minute strike was enough to earn Brentford the win, with Mark Flekken’s (£4.4m) return between the sticks resulting in a clean sheet.
On top of the shutout, Flekken also registered a save point for making three saves as well as collecting all three bonus points. This resulted in the Dutchman scoring a team-high tally of 10 points in Gameweek 25.
Sepp van den Berg (£4.1m) owners will feel unlucky, though. Minutes after making a great clearance, he limped off with an injury just before the hour mark, meaning the 23-year-old narrowly missed out on a clean sheet reward.
Replacing him was Ethan Pinnock (£4.4m), back from a hamstring issue to play his first league minutes since Gameweek 16.
Likewise, Yoane Wissa’s (£6.3m) owners will have been disappointed to see the forward put the ball in the back of the net twice, only to have both ruled offside.
In almost four million FPL squads and 65 per cent of those inside the top 100,000, Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9M) could be a great captaincy candidate for this week’s trip to Leicester.
It’s also useful to know he’ll have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 29, unlike midfielders from Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
In the last five matches, Mbeumo has had eight shots on target and 35 touches inside the box.
Indeed, the Cameroonian is always involved in Brentford's chances, like in Saturday's winner at London Stadium.
He was the team-mate who put Schade through on goal and was so close to tapping in after the initial save from Alphonse Areola.
Mbeumo is the third-best midfielder for overall points, aided by penalty duties and creating 48 chances for others. Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) is the only midfielder with more goals than his 14.
Written with Aston Villa v Liverpool still to come in Double Gameweek 25, the weekend’s highest-scoring player was Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush (£7.1m). He delivered a hat-trick and 17 points against Newcastle.
Not far behind is Yankuba Minteh (£5.0m). He’s recently got back into Brighton’s starting line-up and rewarded his head coach by scoring twice past Chelsea.
Another midfielder who bagged a brace was Mikel Merino (£6.0m). It all came during a late cameo at Leicester, and played out of position up front in the absence of Kai Havertz (£7.8m) and Gabriel Jesus (£6.5m).
Managers need to remember that Gameweek 26 brings another Friday deadline (6.30pm GMT). That’s because of Brentford's trip to Leicester that evening (8pm kick-off GMT).
Marmoush is currently the week’s most-bought player, with Justin Kluivert (£6.0m) still popular due to Bournemouth’s form and appealing fixtures.
Both he and Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri (£4.5m) are handy replacements for Amad Diallo (£5.5m), who has had his season ended by an unfortunate injury.
What stands out about Gameweek 26 is the tough encounters facing Mohamed Salah, Cole Palmer (£11.2m) and Alexander Isak (£9.5m).
The three attacking pillars of most squads, in order, must go to Man City, visit Aston Villa and face the resolute Nottingham Forest defence.
A good skill to have in FPL is knowing when to stick or twist, so managers might see this as a great opportunity to try a new name with their armband and skyrocket up the rankings - someone like Mbeumo, Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) or Kaoru Mitoma (£6.3m).
