Today marks exactly four years since Federico Valverde made his Real Madrid first-team debut. On 23 October 2018, the Santiago Bernabéu played host to the midfielder's first game, against Viktoria Plzen on Champions League matchday three. The match finished 2-1, with Valverde coming off the bench in the second half. Since that day, he has come to play a hugely important role in the team, making 164 appearances and scoring 12 goals.
Valverde has already written his name into the history books of madridismo as one of the starting XI in the final which yielded the Decimocuarta against Liverpool in Paris, setting up Vini Jr to score. During his time at the club he has won 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 2 LaLiga titles and 2 Spanish Super Cups. He's enjoying a phenomenal start to this season, having been involved in every game so far and netted six goals already.
