Knauff, Collins, Brown, Amenda, Chaibi and Fenyö are all returning to Frankfurt after wins at the end of the first international break of the year.
With three Eagles in the starting line-up, Germany U21s were victorious in their final friendly before the European Championship in Slovakia this summer. In a thrilling encounter in Darmstadt, the German youngsters beat Spain 3-1, with Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade netting all three goals. Nathaniel Brown and Nnamdi Collins both played the full 90 minutes, while Ansgar Knauff was substituted in the 89th. The trio will meet Woltemade again on Saturday, when Eintracht host Stuttgart at Deutsche Bank Park at 18:30 CET on Bundesliga Matchday 27.
In Group G of African World Cup qualifying, there was a top-of-the-table clash for leaders Algeria, who hosted second-placed Mozambique, with the two sides level on points before kick-off. The Fennec Foxes landed an emphatic 5-1 win, with Farès Chaibi on the pitch for 84 minutes at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou. The result moves Algeria three points clear of Mozambique at the top, and six points clear of third place.
Meanwhile, Switzerland played a friendly against Luxembourg in Kybunpark in St. Gallen. Aurèle Amenda was introduced in the 81st minute of a 3-1 win for the hosts, his first appearance for the Nati since suffering an injury on his debut in November.
After opening defeats against Austria and Denmark, Noah Fenyö and Hungary U19s ended the second stage of Euro qualifying with a 1-0 win over Iceland. The Frankfurt academy product played the full 90 minutes for the sixth match running.
