Marko Arnautovic, Juan Cuadrado, Yann Bisseck, and Davy Klaassen are all aiming to make a greater contribution at Inter Milan.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, highlight the four in particular as players who could see more of a role during the packed holiday fixture list.

So far this season, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has not hesitated to use the squad he has at his disposal.

There are, by and large, clear hierarchies regarding who is in the first-choice starting eleven.

Nevertheless, players like Carlos Augusto and Davide Frattesi have still made very important contributions from the bench.

And in defense there is plenty of depth to go around. All of Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, Alessandro Bastoni, and Benjamin Pavard have staked their claim.

But Tuttosport identify four players in particular who have yet to really plant their flag.

Arnautovic, Cuadrado, Bisseck & Klaassen Aiming For Greater Contribution At Inter

First of all, there is striker Arnautovic.

The 34-year-old former West Ham United and Stoke City striker joined Inter from Bologna during the summer. He did so as more or less a deputy for Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

Six weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury have meant that Arnautovic has not built up much momentum.

But the Austrian’s first goal of the season in a Champions League comeback against Benfica gave him something to build upon.

Then there’s wingback Cuadrado.

The Colombian has yet to start a match for Inter. A lack of fitness rather than a lack of quality has been the culprit there.

Cuadrado will certainly want to finally get to a point where he can start matches rather than just occasionally coming off the bench.

Young defender Yann Bisseck is very likely to see more opportunities in the coming days.

The German will be tested as far as whether he can give Inzaghi a genuine option with several other defenders out injured.

And lastly, midfielder Klaassen has made perhaps the least convincing start of the four.

The Dutchman arrived in the summer as a deputy midfielders. Klaassen’s technical quality and experience are not in question.

But Klaassen has had little impact. The two matches that he has started, saw a big drop-off in quality from the Nerazzurri’s starting midfielders.

Therefore, the 30-year-old will be hoping that he can improve significantly on those.
