Parma, Bologna, Cremonese and PAOK are all interested in Watford's Tom Dele-Bashiru, who is valued at £8m.
Watford are open to selling Tom Dele-Bashiru for £8m this summer, with Parma and Bologna among the clubs showing an interest in the midfielder.
The 25-year-old made 27 appearances in the Championship last season, and he generally impressed, although he missed a chunk of the campaign through injury.
Nevertheless, Dele-Bashiru appears to have caught the eye of rival clubs, as FLW exclusively revealed back in May that the former Man City youngster was attracting attention from Ipswich Town.
There is interest from across Europe in Dele-Bashiru now, as the Sky Sports Transfer Centre (09:44) stated that Bologna, Parma and Cremonese are all keen on bringing the player to Serie A.
As well as that, Greek outfit PAOK are interested in the Hornets man, who has a year left on his contract at Vicarage Road, although Watford have the option to extend that by 12 months.
Therefore, the Championship side is in a comfortable position when it comes to negotiations, but the update claims that Watford are open to a sale, although they are looking for a fee of around £8m for the player.
It has been a very busy summer already for Watford, with Paulo Pezzolano named as Tom Cleverley’s successor in the dugout, and the club have wasted little time in making changes to the squad, with a host of new signings already through the door.
There have been departures as well, but Watford aren’t in a position where they have to sell, so they should be able to stand firm on Dele-Bashiru’s valuation.
Given his ability, Pezzolano would benefit from keeping Dele-Bashiru, as he could become a hugely influential figure in the XI, but £8m would be a price that would allow him to reinvest in the team.
So, it will be very interesting to see how this plays out, and the chance to test himself abroad may appeal to Dele-Bashiru, particularly if the Italian clubs make a move that will allow him to join a top league as he approaches the peak years of his career.
