The final international break of 2024 is now upon us, with a number of Celts aiming to achieve European Championship qualification.
It has been a non-stop start to the campaign for the Celtic FC Women’s squad, with games on the domestic and European stage.
With just four games until the winter break, several members of the squad have international duty to contend with first.
Four Celts will be representing their nation at senior and youth level, with some playing it out for a chance to reach next summer’s European Championships in Switzerland.
Here is a run-down of the players who will be representing Scotland and Ireland over the coming week.
Two players have been called up for Pedro Martinez Losa’s Scotland squad, who are two games away from reaching next summer’s Euros.
Both Kelly Clark and Shannon McGregor were named in the 23-player squad which will face Finland in a two-legged match up.
After receiving her first cap last month, McGregor will be aiming to play her part once more, alongside the Celtic captain who has been recalled to the squad.
The first leg comes on Friday evening at Easter Road, with the reverse tie taking place on Tuesday, December 3 in Helsinki.
The other Celt who will be aiming to reach next summer’s tournament in Switzerland is Caitlin Hayes, who has once again been named in the latest Ireland squad.
Having earned a regular spot in the starting 11 of Eileen Gleeson’s squad, the defender is also just two matches away from her reaching her first international tournament.
It is a short trip for Hayes and her team-mates, who face Wales in the two-legged play-off match, with the first coming in Cardiff.
Ireland will then return to the Aviva Stadium, aiming to make back-to-back tournaments after their involvement at the most recent World Cup.
There is also representation at youth level, with Lisa Rodgers being named in the Scotland under-19s squad for their upcoming qualifying fixtures.
The young Scottish side have some big games to look forward to as they take on Netherlands, Sweden and Hungary.
After featuring in two out of three international fixtures last month, the shot-stopper who made her sixth appearance of the season against Montrose will be hoping to feature as they travel out to Hungary.
