Barcelona will take on Sevilla at Spotify Camp Nou later tonight with an eye on stretching their lead at the top of the La Liga standings.

The Catalans are on a terrific 14-game unbeaten run across all competitions, which includes 13 wins, with the latest one coming against Real Betis earlier this week.

A tough run of fixtures await Barcelona over the coming weeks though starting off with the visit of Sevilla tonight.

Following the game against Jorge Sampaoli’s side, the Blaugrana will lock horns with Villarreal away at Estadio de la Ceramica.

And, Barcelona are running the risk of being without as many as four players for the game against Villarreal due to suspensions.

Heading into tonight’s contest versus Sevilla, four Barcelona stars – Sergio Busquets, Gavi, Ferran Torres, and Ronald Araujo – are all on four yellow cards.

And another warning from the referee during tonight’s contest will take their tally to five, resulting in a one-match ban due to the accumulation of cards.

Such a scenario would be a blow for Barcelona considering how well the likes of Araujo, Gavi and Busquets are playing and how vital they are to Xavi’s plans.

While Torres has not been playing much, the injury to Ousmane Dembele has already weakened the attacking unit, and losing another player due to suspension would not be ideal for the Blaugrana.

Barcelona are leading the La Liga table and have opened up a five-point advantage over bitter rivals Real Madrid. With some tricky fixtures lying ahead, Xavi & co. will be hoping to navigate this run smoothly and strengthen their grip atop the standings.
