Youth product signs early contract extension through to 2025 and moves to Bundesliga 2 club Hannover 96 for the next two seasons.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Antonio Foti have agreed to an early extension of the player’s contract – his first pro deal, signed in January of this year – through to 2025. The talented 18-year-old midfielder, who went on to feature for SGE’s U19s, is now heading off to second-division side Hannover 96, with the two clubs coming to terms on a two-year loan that will keep the teenager in the north of Germany until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Foti, who is also a Cyprus youth international, was integral to Eintracht’s U19s finishing third in the league last year, scoring 17 goals in 19 games and recording another six assists.

“Antonio is a young player with enormous potential, and last season he showed that he’s got what it takes to make it in professional football,” said board member for sport Markus Krösche. “Moving on loan to an ambitious second-division club is the ideal next step for him in terms of developing into a top-level player.”
