Former West Ham United and Birmingham City midfielder Brianna Visalli has completed a move to Brighton & Hove Albion.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official club press release from Brighton & Hove Albion this morning.

Visalli joins The Seagulls after most recently playing her football in the American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) with Houston Dash. The midfielder gained previous experience of playing in England with West Ham United and Birmingham City. She spent the 2018/2019 campaign with The Hammers before joining the Blues the following season.

After completing the signing of Visalli, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Jens Scheuer said “She’s a midfielder with a real turn of pace. She’s a very intelligent player and she gives us a lot of options in the midfield.

“It’s a good move for the club and her. She’s got good experience both in the WSL and in America.”

The arrival of Visalli caps-off a very busy couple of days for Brighton & Hove Albion. On Thursday, the club completed the signing of Norwegian international defender Guro Bergsvand while Serbian international midfielder Dejana Stefanović joined The Seagulls yesterday. Further arrivals are expected with the Brighton & Hove Albion squad still looking a bit light on numbers.
