Anderlecht have been looking to move on from Amadou Diawara for a few transfer windows now. The Guinean international has been out of favour at the club and after make just 12 appearances last season has not been near the first team this time around. According to Het Nieuwsblad, a solution might well be found imminently. Hungarian giants Ferencvaros are said to be interested in signing him. Anderlecht are willing to allow the 27-year-old defensive midfielder to leave on a free.

Diawara joined the Mauves back in the summer of 2022. In his first season he played 35 games, scoring once and grabbing one assist. Yet since then he has not been considered a player the club want to keep going forward. Prior to moving to Belgium, the midfielder had spent his time in Serie A. After one season with Bologna he joined Napoli in 2016, making 74 appearances for the side. In 2019 he moved to Roma and played 66 games.
