RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins is reporting that former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier is closing in on a move to Qatari side Al-Duhail.

Galtier has been out of work since leaving PSG at the end of last season. The Frenchman, who spent just one season in the dugout at the Parc des Princes, during which he won the Ligue 1 title, has since been replaced by Luis Enrique. The end of his reign at PSG was mired by racism allegations, dating back to his time as manager at OGC Nice, for which he was reportedly arrested in June. Galtier has previously denied the accusations with ‘the greatest firmness’ and launched legal action for libel after being accused of racist remarks in a leaked email sent by former Nice sporting director Julien Fournier.

However, Galtier could now return to management. According to Hawkins, Al-Duhail’s current manager, Hernán Crespo, is in a precarious situation and could soon leave the Qatari club, who have already lined up Galtier as his successor.
