Former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is having a brilliant start to his Serie A career as his contribution proved crucial to helping Fiorentina pick up 19 points from their first 10 games.
The Viola currently sit fourth, level on points with Atalanta and Lazio, having suffered an only league defeat back in September.
Raffaele Palladino’s side also boast the third-best defence in Serie A, as they conceded nine goals, and De Gea’s good form was among
De Gea rates first among goalkeepers for save percentage, having blocked 82% of the shots he received, as reported by TNT Sports.
He also makes 4.1 saves per game on average and has picked up three Serie A clean sheets in his first 10 games in a Viola shirt.

De Gea made some impressive saves during his side’s latest 1-0 win at Genoa, leading teammate Robin Gosens to say that he’s ‘surely’ one of the best in Serie A. The Spanish goalkeeper also denied two penalties against Milan and was recently listed as the best-performing Serie A player in the opening ten rounds.
De Gea left Man United after 12 seasons in the summer of 2023 and took a one-year break before signing for Fiorentina as a free agent last summer.
